when it comes down to it this board is all about problems within the canon community but we've also spoken of the fourth wall, and it's possible termination.
i say we settle the only active problem here, which like i said, is the fourth wall. closing it in my opinion has not helped. it just encourages people to be on it more when its open.
if you disagree then tell me, but i think that we need to seriously consider terminating the fourth wall, and yes i realize it leads to meta in the medium but if we can moderate a total separate chat room then cant we moderate the messages sent in one?

The fourth wall exists to satisfy a need which definitely exists. I think its being open simply needs to be the exception, rather than the rule: it should only be open when here is some actual reason for OOC chat, or to let the OOC flares which tend to happen resolve themselves (within a reasonable, regulated timeframe) without clogging up the IC.
This is basically what the policy is now. I think it's been working well!

i do too, but its gotten so close to failing so many times i think that it wont be long until that plan is no longer working so well.
i still think that fourth wall chat is something not so needed. sure, a meta conversation clogs up the IC chat, but if were talking about it in the fourth wall, whos gonna stay IC?
