I beg to differ. Saying role playing is immature in and of itself is like saying playing video games is immature, when it certainly is not. It all depends on HOW you do it, not WHAT you do.
This is true, but as with video games, roleplaying is definitely most often just fun and jest. I think what we're doing here is largely rooted in humor.

You got me there. As long as it doesn't spread to actions, you're right, there's no real problem.
I don't think A42 ever intended to harm or really screw with anyone! Perhaps mildly irritate, but like I said, what can you expect.
"Oh my God" and "Jesus Christ" have been said so many times that they've been adopted into common lingo across several languages. You're right, though, in that it's a similar (if much less extreme) case. There's just something about "faggot" and the way it was conceived that it makes me uncomfortable to hear it at all, especially from people I know; it's hard to tell when you're saying it playfully or not, and even harder to tell when someone is offended. Like I said, I can't stop anyone, but it just seems that there are a million less objectionable words that could easily be substituted for it. "Wombo", for instance.
Well, yeah, that's about all I have to say about it, I guess. It now seems, quite ironically, that I am the one flipping out the most about it. Venting and nothing more is............................fine yeah go ahead and forget most of what I said I guess
